Well, this year in art has been great. I suck at painting but I found my favorite medium which happens to be one people hate more or less. IT is indeed ink but in the form of Pointillism (thousands of little dots used in ink to make a gradient of colors to make a beautiful and hopefully realistic piece.) So here it is. This was my first pointillism picture in ages. IT took me 1 1/2 months (6 weeks more or less)![]() Whattaya think? |

Very nice. I'm always a sucker for ink art. xD The only thing I don't like is that your lines seem a bit, for lack of a better word, wobbly. They're shaky, and it's especially noticeable on the journal, where the lines should be definite and straight. Overall, though, I really like it. Great job, and congratulations on being a very tenacious artist. (6 weeks = WOW. o.o) -Jake- |

Wow, that's very impressive. Most early attempts at pointillism I've seen don't turn out nearly that nice, so that you were able to do this after not having worked in that style for a long time is impressive. The blue on the left side of the picture seems a bit out of place--is that a scanning error, or is it intentional?--but I do really like it. |

I couldn't actually scan it so most of the errors in the lighting are related to me having to take the picture with a little digital camera. To the wobbly lines, it is both my fault and collectively that of the picture I based it from. The Journal isn't supposed to be hard cover, it is a paper-back type cover journal, at leas that is what it looked like XD |

Wow, that is awesome! I love all aspects of the jacket! Woodchuck is right about your wobbly lines, though they could be interpreted as a book that's well worn and has been dropped in a well more than a couple of times ![]() Great work! This is really awesome! |

I don't think I'm allowed to give out my deviant art in here...so...I have two more pointillism pieces coming very soon, like in the next 2 days soon. |
