Zarke smiled slightly as he watched the battle proceeded. It was interesting to see that he had the upper hand at the start of this duel, but he knew that this was but a farce. There was no chance that his opponent would let up on him that easily, and he was certainly in no mood to just hang around and wait for it. The fact that the opposing Absol had used Quick Attack was telling. It meant that the opponent was intent on capitalizing the speed of the disaster Pokémon, and using it to inflict quick damage. An excellent strategy if not for the fact that Maijin was also quite the combatant itself. Which meant that the Absol was not likely to be lasting long at this rate. Zarke glanced around the watery battleground carefully, keeping a close eye on the whirlpools that they were slowly inching towards. Giving a swift command to the Karama, he knew that this battle had to end before they got themselves into further danger. The warrior Pokémon sprinted across the waters again, its arm curling into a combat stance, with a fist aimed straight at its enemy. --- Battle Recap: Level 15 Karama used Mach Punch on Level 15 Absol. The warrior Pokémon's aim was on target. The single Mach Punch it had delivered was clearly more than enough to put an end to the Absol, though apparently, it was not fast enough. The Disaster Pokémon had got in a rather fast attack before it finally fell. But this was just the first Pokémon of this battle, and Zarke already knew that it was more than likely that this trainer had three Pokémon at the very minimum. And that this first Pokémon was not going to be any gauge to the strength of this strange foe. And it was just as well. The new Pokémon that was brought out was certainly not a typical one. Judging from the bronze hue of the Pokémon and the reptilian shape, it was quite likely that this Pokémon was either a Steel type or a Dragon type. Or perhaps both. This was quite troubling indeed. But he knew that he had to try something. Withdrawing the Karama was the right idea, but he knew not which Pokémon he ought to call out. Of course, fate had other plans for him. Or more accurately, the psychic Pokémon made the decision for him. Lunastra burst out of its Pokeball without warning, materializing at the side of the warrior Pokémon. Zarke sighed lightly at that as he acknowledged the Gazalaxy's presence. He held up the orb of Maijin and brought the Chakra Pokémon back to its proper resting place. And as for the new course of attack, he knew that he had to allow the stargazing Pokémon execute that on its own. And so it did. And surprisingly, it repeated the move that it had used in the combat a bit while again. A pale blue orb grew before the Gazalaxy just as its eyes and the scythe horn on its side glowed in the strange colour. This battle might be getting interesting... --- Battle Recap: Zarke switched out his Karama for his Gazalaxy. Level 13 Gazalaxy used Ice Beam on Level 17 Brizaur. Zarke frowned lightly as the battle proceeded. This was certianly not very encouraging. The dragon had certainly packed quite a nasty bite, one that he did not expect. But it was something that he ought to have anticipated. After all, most Dragons tend to have such a nasty attack, and this was something that he ought to have guessed at. Looking at the two Pokémon, he knew that Lunastra was certainly not faring as well as he had hoped for. But then again, the little dragon was certainly not doing as well either. This clearly meant two things. First off, the opponent was almost definitely not a Steel type despite its looks. Secondly, the opponent was definitely a Dragon Pokémon, and now that he thought of it, it seemed to be the pre-evolution of the black Dragon he had seen once deep in the Abyss when he was in Zeralis on a wild goose chase. But now, all he knew was that if the opponent had another Pokémon, it was unlikely that he could count on the Gazalaxy to continue. This battle was taking quite a toll on the Pokémon. It was certainly something that he was not hoping for but at this point in time, he could only hope that he could take out this foe as fast as possible. Nodding at the psychic Pokémon, Zarke allowed the stargazing Pokémon to take command yet again. And this time round, it was in no hurry to attack. Its body glowed in the pale blue aura, and it slowly formed the little orb where the attack would issue from. This Ice Beam should be able to take down the little bronze dragon but it might not be enough for this duel against this trainer... --- Battle Recap: Level 13 Gazalaxy used Ice Beam on Level 17 Brizaur. Zarke smiled lightly as the icy beam easily froze and put an end to the bronze dragon. Lunastra was quite capable after all, but taking on an opponent single-handedly was certainly not one of its forte. But at least it was a victory, even if it was narrowly won. But just as he slightly rejoiced in his triumph, the opponent brought forth yet another Pokémon. This time round, it was certainly no push-over. From its fiery mane to its two wings, it was unmistakeable for a pegasus. And more than likely one that was related to Ponyta or Rapidash. This opposing Pokémon was unmistakeable of the types Fire and Flying, which meant that the two Pokémon he had just used against this trainer was unlikely to be of much use. Recalling the weary Gazalaxy, Zarke brought out the best choice for this duel. Or at least, the best choice he had for now. What appeared was the Pokémon he had purposely selected for this journey. The Mystery Pokémon appeared, its cheeks sparking with the electricity that was likely to be needed to down this aerial foe. But the first attack he had decided upon was not an offensive move. Which the strange Pokémon complied with as it sent forth a burst of electricity. This wave of lightnig was directed to incapacitate the foe, and it would be best if this were to succeed. But as it is, the best of plans never seemed to proceed that well, and this fiery opponent was certainly not one that can be defeated easily... --- Battle Recap: Zarke brought out his Level 14 Pikablu. Level 14 Pikablu used Thunderwave on Level 20 Rapidare. [Wild: 3] [Trainer: 2] [Trainer battle ongoing] |

Zarke frowned slightly as the battle slowly proceeded. This duel was starting to go badly, but it was in a direction that he had not thought of. Flinching. The fiery pegasus was a lot larger and stronger than the Pikablu, and stomping over the Pokémon easily. This attack easily defused the bolt of electricity with no aftereffects. This was troubling, but the Mystery Pokémon was not some Pokémon who would go down without a fight. The first attack may have failed, but it was bound to succeed sooner or later, though he would hope that it was the former rather than the latter. The strange Water and Electric Pokémon picked up the slack again, charging up with yet another wave of electricity. If this attack failed to work now, this battle might just be unsalvageable. But as it was, Zarke was thinking quickly. There had to be another way out, but as of now, he had absolutely no idea what it was. All he had was his instincts and his knowledge on Pokémon. And these might just not be enough... --- Battle Recap: Level 14 Pikablu used Thunderwave on Level 20 Rapidare. [Wild: 3] [Trainer: 2] [Trainer battle ongoing] |

As the battle slowly proceeded, Zarke knew that at this point in time, he was in a lead of sorts. The paralysis would buy him a chance to win, which was what he had really needed. A fast and aggressive opponent was one that was more than a little difficult to deal with. Nodding at the weakened Pikablu, Zarke had doubts whether the Pokémon was capable of surviving this. The Rapidare was definitely a powerful one, and the muscles behind its hooves were nothing to sneeze at. The might they packed was more than capable of destroying quite a few obstacles in its way, even if it was a pegasus. But for now, it seems that he need to figure in some damage to the foe. At this point in time, he was unsure if his Pokémon were capable enough to survive the blows of the foe and take the opponent down. With a Fire Pokémon like this flying fire horse, it was more than likely that it was packing Flash Fire, which meant that Fyra would be more than a little useless here. The little mystery Pokémon drew upon its strength again, this time aiming to unleash a direct bolt of energy. The time to strike was now, and Unystery was aiming to inflict as much damage as it possibly could. But could this tiny Shock Wave be enough? That was something Zarke had no idea at all... --- Battle Recap: Level 14 Pikablu used Shock Wave on Level 20 Rapidare. Rapidare is Paralyzed. [Wild: 3] [Trainer: 2] [Trainer battle ongoing] |

Zarke sighed lightly as he watched the battle proceeded. Even though the fire pegasus was slightly paralyzed, it was not enough to stop its power. And it seem that he had entirely underestimated the strength of the opponent. Unystery was unable to stand up against the foe and was soon overwhelmed by the hooves. Without a single word, he brought back the collapsed Pokémon back into its Pokeball for a good rest. For a moment, this act brought back some memories from the past. In particular one that struck him hard. How he often seem emotionless in the thick of battle, even though he was the direct opposite in personality. This was something that Fio chided him for numerous times, but it was something that he could not shake off. The manner by which he focused on a battle often spared him little mind for other details. But instinctively, he knew that the mystery Pokémon would understand. Drawing out a previous Pokeball, he released the second Pokémon that he had used in this duel. Lunastra took the stage yet again, though this stage was a small raft. One that was slowly inching to the whirlpools that looked more than a little ominous. Nodding to the Pokémon, Zarke gave the command for the Pokémon to attack. Anticipating an Ice Beam, he was more than surprised when a pale blue orb failed to appear. Instead, the stars and scythe horn of the psychic Pokémon glowed blue with power. Within seconds, the waters bubbled as though it was boiling, but no steam was released. When rocks suddenly burst out of the opponent and at the aerial foe, Zarke knew immediately that this was a new move that had been acquired by the stargazing Pokémon. Perhaps this might be the move that can break out a victory. If it succeeds, that is. --- Battle Recap: Zarke sent out his Level 15 Gazalaxy as a substitute. Zarke struggled on a little longer in his raft, as he nervously steered past the whirlpools, along a somewhat safe path towards the docks in the distance. As he reached the port, he breathed a slight relief in getting past this treacherous route, but he knew that he was in for more trouble as he tied the raft down as he prepared to head ashore. --- After heading ashore, and dealing with necessary arrangements, he found himself wandering around this little shoreline. Zarke knew that this was among the best place to hunt for Pokémon, though he knew not what Pokémon that could be found here. But it was just as well. He had a mind to go hunting for little mysteries. He slowly strolled along the shoreline, keeping an eye out for anything unusual. A lone trainer wondering about was certainly no small target indeed. And as a participant to the Ishmadal tournament, there was bound to be more than a few who intended to cause trouble... --- [Requirements cleared! Off for random Pokémon hunting.] |

Zarke muttered something under his breath as a sudden storm came out of nowhere. That was certainly a little more than annoying, though it was something that he ought to have expected. In tropical zones like this island, sudden and unexpected tropical storms were common, coming in and leaving in a flash as the winds blew across the island. As his eyes searched for shelter along the shoreline, his clothes were soon drenched in the heavy torrent. But even so, this was certainly the least of his troubles. The troubled waves had brought with it some trouble, and it appeared before him quickly. The dark colours of the Pokémon coupled with the blade dorsal fin gave it a terrifying visage, and it certainly reminded me of dolphins. No, not dolphins, but rather an orca. A killer of a Pokémon, and certainly not one to underestimate. But since this Pokémon was most likely a water type, and it was not one to likely run away from the foe, Zarke knew that he had to battle this one. Drawing out a single Pokeball, he released a grass type Pokémon to fight this foe. But instead there was quite a surprise. As Florizare materialized, it glowed white with power. If not for the fact that he recognized the light, he would have thought that the Bulbasaur was utilizing some form of attack. The Bulbasaur shifted its shape and became an Ivysaur. An evolution at this point in time was more than a little welcome. Zarke immediately gave the signal for his choice of attack. Even though it no longer carried a bulb on its back, the flower bud on its back was certainly more than capable of firing a seed. His strategy for now was to grasp an advantage. Against such an opponent, he need to reach a decisive position, where he can overwhelm the foe's tactical advantage. And a Leech Seed was the plan to fight against that. As Florizare prepared for the attack, the water opponent was certainly not going to wait around. This battle was about to kick off, and it was not something to be taken lightly. --- Battle Recap: Zarke sent out his Ivysaur2. Level 16 Ivysaur2 used Leech Seed against Level 24 Orclata. Rain Dance is in effect. [Requirements cleared.] |

Zarke observed the battle very carefully. By now, he already knew that this foe was not the typical one as well. This one was certainly fast, and more than a little powerful. And it had certainly caught the newly evolved Pokémon by surprise. Though this was not that troubling to him. After all, he had known that when a Pokémon had just evolved, it was nearly always disorientated for a short moment. The failure of the Leech Seed just came as a slight setback. Observing the foe carefully, he knew that he was unlikely to be able to capture this foe. And judging from the way it was moving, cutting through the waters at such speed, he deduced that this Pokémon was one with decent strength and speed. This certainly made things more than just a little difficult. His plan must proceed as planned or it would be more than just a little problematic. Signalling the grass Pokémon to attack yet again, the Ivysaur began to prepare to fire off yet another seed. After all, when the first one failed, try again and again until it succeeded. But even so, the opponent would be faster. The only hope was the Florizare could hold on long enough to pull off the attack. This plan depended on its success. --- Battle Recap: Level 16 Ivysaur2 used Leech Seed against Level 24 Orclata. Rain Dance is in effect. [Requirements cleared.] |

Zarke smiled lightly as the battle slowly began to move according to his plan. The first step was complete as the seed wrapped itself around the foe, draining health gradually from the orca. But even so, it was not the time to let down his guard. Drawing out a second Pokeball, he released the one Pokémon that he had personally chosen for this journey. Out came the Pikablu, a bluish Pokémon that bared more than just a slight resemblance to the rodent Pokémon Pikachu. Calling Florizare back to his side, he slowly observed the opponent now. This battle was just about to get interesting. With a slight motion of his hand, he called for a direct attack. The blue cheeks of the Pokémon sparkled with electricity. The opponent might be fast, but up against a direct attack, it may fall easily. But for that to happen, he need to test the defense of the water opponent, and what was best other than using an Electric type to do so. As Unystery prepared to send out a powerful electrical wave, the orca began to make its move. In the midst of this thunderstorm, this battle was starting to become more and more interesting... --- Battle Recap: Zarke switched his Ivysaur2 for his Pikablu. Zarke smiled lightly as the battle proceeded. Against a water type opponent, Unystery was certainly the best choice as it easily took the powerful Aqua Jet without a cringe. Its ability certainly helped in that aspect as well, since Water attacks would not deal any damage at all. But the point now was that he was in a decisive advantage, though it was not one to be taken for granted. The orca was a dangerous foe, and it was more than certain that it had packed more than just water moves. In fact, judging from the steel fin, it was likely that it also packed a Steel type move or perhaps a Normal type move at that. This only meant one thing, he had to seize the victory now and fast. With a single wave of his hand, Zarke motioned for the mystery Pokémon to commence with yet another round of attack. The blue cheeks of the Electric Pokémon burst with the energy as blue bolts of lightning danced around it. If there was to be a success, the Pikablu would need a direct hit. And what better time to attack than when the opponent decided to charge. The bolts of electricity continued to danced around the Pokémon as it prepared to unleash a devastating wave of attack... --- Battle Recap: Level 14 Pikablu used Shock Wave against Level 24 Orclata. Zarke smiled lightly as the opposing Pokémon tried to bash through with yet another water attack. Well, it was not surprising that it would continue to try again with the same move. But in this case, it was useless to attempt what will never be possible. Unystery clearly stood strong against the powerful Aqua Jet, and it was no shock there. Water Absorb was the ability of the Pokémon, and against it, Water type moves were useless. Thus, it meant that the Pikablu was the best choice to use against the aqua Pokémon that lived in this area. Giving a slight wave to the Pokémon, Zarke commanded the electric Pokémon to attack yet again. Looking at the exhausted orca, it was more than likely that the combination of electric attacks as well as the leeching seed was too much for the foe. Just as well, since the mystery Pokémon was preparing the electric charges for the final attack... --- [Shortish post.] Battle Recap: Level 14 Pikablu used Shock Wave against Level 24 Orclata. Pikablu has Water Absorb. Rain Dance is in effect. [Ivysaur 2 and Pikablu has participated in this battle.] [Requirements cleared. Next wild battle go!] |

No sense prolonging the inevitable; Orclata stood no chance as it ineffectually shot water at Pikablu, who responded rather unkindly by firing a wave of electricity, knocking the poor cetacean unconscious. Zarke smiled lightly as the ferocious orca soon sank under the waves as the bolts of lightning overwhelmed it. This was a pleasant improvement, but it would seem that this trip was pretty much wasted on a whole. He had wanted to look for wild Pokémon to capture but it would seem that the Pokeballs he had around was not going to be able to catch. But who knows what mysterious Pokémon this route holds. Just as he thought of this, the sudden storm died away, just as it had came. But with it came another foe. But this one was a normal bird, even though it was more of an evolved form of a bird that he had fought before. Judging from the colouring of this aerial foe, and its similarities, it was more than likely that this was the evolution of the Flickadee whom he had once fought against. But even before he had mentioned anything, the Pikablu by his side was more than eager to tackle this new opponent. Perhaps it was charged up by the continuous water attacks from before, or it was just fired up in general, but Zarke was not in much of a mind to argue. After all, against a bird, a bolt of lightning was more than suitable to bring down to earth. Unystery leapt forward, its cheeks sparkiing with power. As the bird prepared for its attack, the electric Pokémon was more than ready. A wave of electricity might just be enough to do the trick, but who knows. The Mystery Pokémon was ready to unleash its full might upon its foe, but he knew that it might not be enough. He slowly prepared a second Pokeball. If worse came to worse, he would have to bring out his secondary choice. It might not be the best but it would have to do for now... --- Battle Recap: Level 16 Pikablu used Shock Wave against Level 22 Flockateal. Pikablu has Water Absorb. [Requirements cleared.] |

Flockateal was definitely eager to start the fight and shot down from the sky, ambushing the just-arrived Pikablu. The strange blue mouse Pokémon didn't seem to appreciate being out-sped so early in the battle and let loose a powerful wave of electricity. [16] 48/66[22] 56/85

Zarke smiled lightly as the battle proceeded. It was not surprising to see the aerial foe launching a fast attack. In fact, it was more than just expected. After all, it was unlikely that the foe can handle any straight offensive attacks head-on, especially those that are powered by the forces of lightning. But it was still interesting to judge the might of the Pokémon. Even though it was likely that the opponent was of a much higher level, it would seem that the two were on equal footing. This meant that it was difficult to figure out the end of this match easily. Looking at the two Pokémon, he knew that this battle would not last beyond two or three rounds. Which was fine by him in any case. He intended to change up the lineup at any moment as it was. But for now, he was interested to see what this opponent was capable of. So, he needed to leave the Pokémon to do what it could at this point in time. Not that he was in any hurry to do otherwise. Waving slightly at Unstery, Zarke commanded the electric Pokémon to continue, which the Pikablu was more than eager to comply. After all, it did not like to take a beating from a fast foe, and it was certainly not a Pokémon to back down so easily against an opponent. As charges of electricity sparked across its body as it prepared to strike, the aerial foe prepared to swoop down again for yet another attack. This battle was certainly bound to be interesting... -- [Shortish post above!] Battle Recap: Level 16 Pikablu used Shock Wave against Level 22 Flockateal. Pikablu has Water Absorb. Zarke smiled lightly as the bird struck again with another flying dive. This was interesting to say the least. He had thought that the foe would be more of a tenacious opponent that he had seen but it would seem that he was mistaken. Not that it would truly matter. After all, he would not mind such a foe that was easy to take down at this point. Looking at the conditions of the two Pokémon, it was more than obvious what the results of this battle would be. Just as he pondered as to his next choice, he absently cast his eyes around, examining the situation in its totality. Unystery was certainly just under its optimum capacity, but its bolts of lightning was certainly going to do the job rather well. As for the little bird that was the evolution of Flickadee, it was doing a lot worse, but it was certainly dangerous enough to not delay the battle for much longer. This only meant one thing though. With a slight moment of his right hand, Zarke motioned for the Pikablu to attack, and the Mystery Pokémon eagerly complied. This was one of the few moments that it was able to tackle a foe on its own and it was certainly enthusiastic enough to do the job. As sparks of lightning burst out of its blue cheeks, it would seem that th bell had tolled for the aerial foe. But who truly knew what would happen next? All he could do was guess and hope that his strategy and his calculations did not fail him now. --- [Shortish post above!] Battle Recap: Level 16 Pikablu used Shock Wave against Level 22 Flockateal. Pikablu charged electricity, but unfortunately had no opportunity to discharge it; Flockateal folded its wings and dove downward, wind screaming past, and crashed headlong square into Pikablu. Pikablu was thrown by the unexpected force of the attack and landed, unconscious, on the bow of the ship. Flockateal retreated, its own head pounding from the impact, but it would come back around by the time you sent out your next Pokémon, and it would be more than ready to try and vanquish its next enemy in kind. 0/66[22] 26/85

What happened next was something of a surprise, but it was something that he ought to have expected. He had not expected that the foe would be this fast, nor would it be preparing for a surprise strike. The bird swooped down and put an end to the Electric Pokémon in a single blow. Zarke scowled slightly at this, cursing himself for his naivety. He knew that the opponent was of a higher level. He also knew that there was a chance that the opponent was up to some tricks. Before he just failed to take all of that into account, and this would definitely lead to his downfall. Muttering under his breath, he quickly brought back the unconscious Pokémon in a flash of red light. But thankfully enough, he had wanted to bring a second Pokémon and he decided to do just that. What appeared was the first Pokémon that he had obtained. The fire Pokémon Pyroo. Or what used to be Pyroo as a bright white light surrounded the instant as it full materialized. Its shape twisted and distorted, and coalesced into a new form. Slightly surprised, he knew that the Pokémon had just evolved. The second one in a day. That was certainly more than a little intriguing. But even if the Pokémon had just evolved, the fire Pokémon was certainly just a young kangaroo. And it was definitely more than eager to battle. And it was more than willing to use the most powerful move in its arsenal to do just that. Fyra gathered up the flames into its mouth, literally more than ready to spew them on its foe. If Zarke knew the Pokémon well, this was bound to be a high-powered attack, and the flames should be nothing to sneeze at. In fact, a sneeze might just cause the situation to worsen.... --- Battle Recap: Level 16 Pyroby used Lava Plume against Level 22 Flockateal. Zarke narrowed his eyes as he watched the battle proceeded. It would seem that the opponent was steadily gaining power, or more likely that it was in a desperate state. The fact that both of its previous attacks had struck with a mighty blow seemed to suggest that. Even the flames unleashed by Fyra paled in comparison. This was certainly something that he needed to be careful of. He had no intention of letting the previous event repeat itself. Drawing out another Pokeball, he hastily recalled the injured kangaroo. The Pokémon may be strong enough to take another attack, but he certainly had no intention on taking the risk. After all, it was this mistake that caused him to lose his Pikablu. And now, he was certainly going to put an end to this with no more errors. With a single flick of his wrist, he called out another Pokémon. But this time round, the bright flash of white light appeared up in the air, as another bird took to the skies. Ventas was his choice, and it was not a choice that he had made lightly. The cotton bird immediately flew straight at its foe, though it was more than just a little obvious who would have the upper hand. A direct peck might just do the trick, but at this point, it was a chance for the bird to exercise a little of its aerial attacks. But this was something that he was hoping for. Even as the opposing bird dove straight for yet another attack, Zarke held out his chance. The Flickadee evolution may be of a higher level, but it was certainly not that strong of an opponent to take down. This battle might still be won just yet... --- Battle Recap: Zarke switched out Pyroby for Swablu. Level 16 Swablu used Peck against Level 22 Flockateal. Zarke breathed a sigh of relief when the tiny Swablu brought down the aerial foe. It was a tiring battle, but at least it was over for now. With a short prayer for thanks, he brought back the Pokémon as he sorted through his Pokeballs once again. This battle was not easy to be honest, and he had no intention to fall into such a trap again. He would be prepared the next time. Gathering up his wits as well as making a check through his equipment, he slowly proceeded along the shoreline, hoping that he may find new Pokémon to battle, and to catch if possible. Except that this was not to be. As he moved along the beach, a little seahorse popped into view. This was a Siron, one Pokémon that he had caught before. But certainly, this one was a lot more powerful than the one he had already had. Even as he thought of which Pokémon to choose, apparently, the choice had been made already. The Pikablu popped out of its Pokeball, certainly with a lot more vigor than it had before. The defeat earlier must have frustrated it, and it was certainly hoping to put down an opponent. it was just as well. He knew that the electric Pokémon could certainly use some more experience, and if the Pokémon was not doing so well, he had an alternative choice to resort to. With a single nod at the Pokémon, Zarke gave it the go ahead. And the Mystery Pokémon eagerly complied. Sparks of electricity danced around it as it prepared to strike at the water opponent. If the bird had given Unystery some difficulty, this aquatic foe might be the same. But it was unlikely that this opponent was more dangerous than that orca he had faced earlier. This should be a simple battle, but he knew that it was unlikely that this would be the case... --- [Shortish post above!] Battle Recap: Level 16 Pikablu used Shock Wave against Level 21 Siron. Zarke smiled slightly as the battle proceeded as he had thought. A water Pokémon would usually use a water attack first, just to test the defenses. And the fact that its foe might have Water Absorb for an ability was something that it might not have foreseen. Which was why he was at an advantage at this point. A battle was won not due to a single lucky move. It was won due to a series of small successes and correct moves. And this was something that he was intent on. Looking the little seahorse, it was clear to his eyes that the water Pokémon certainly did not like the attack. It was amusing to him, but it would seem that the Pokémon here was starting to get a little boring. The Pokémon he had seen thus far was certainly different in some cases, but they lacked the spark that drew his attention. Perhaps it would be a better decision to search out for trainers to battle back on the island. After all, it would be better to gain experience through battling different Pokémon of different types than against water or aerial types in this route. Closing his eyes for a short moment, he waved for the Pokémon to proceed on its own. But evidently this action might just not be required after all. Unystery was definitely more than just a little eager to finish off a battle on its own, and the sparks of lightning that burst out of its blue cheeks was certainly quite the answer to that. And as it rushed forward, the Pikablu unleashed a Shocking Wave of electricity. If his observations for this battle were correct, this might just be the end of this battle. --- [Shortish post above!] Battle Recap: Level 16 Pikablu used Shock Wave against Level 21 Siron. Zarke breathed a short sigh of relief as the little aquatic Pokémon sank below the waves as the attack overwhelmed. These battles had getting tiring, and he was certainly in no mood to continue much longer if he had to. But at least, the little mystery Pokémon was pleased with its success as it returned back into the Pokeball which it had been called out from. But even so, it would seem that things would not quiet down soon enough. A sharp ringing tone burst through the natural silence of the beach, and rattled him a little. But this sound soon died away almost as it suddenly arrived. Zarke stood there for a moment, gathering his senses before he realised just what the sound was. He cursed himself lightly for not figuring it out, and quickly dug through his backpack for a single electronic device. The cell phone that he was given as gift. Or more likely a way to communicate with him at all times. And as his hands fell upon it, he knew that the sound was due to a call, but rather a message. It was an email message from Mio. Apparently, some things had cropped up back in Zeralis, and she was going to head over there immediately. There were a bunch of information listed in the message as well, most of which he had immediately understood. As well as a single picture of a strange six-legged Pokémon. It seems that the three guardian deities of Zeralis had been released from their seals, and that the orbs of the Legend of Three were involved in the unsealing somewhere. But apparently, there was a double seal in place. Along with the three sealed deities, the strange Pokémon whose picture was given was also sealed as well. And it was released when the others were done the same. He pondered for a moment, recalling the strange incident in the Abyss. And the meeting with the black dragon Karozur as well as its black orb. He wondered if the warning it had given was related to all these events, but he knew that if it was, it seemed that the worst had come to past. As he continued reading, more information came to his mind. Apparently, the strange Pokémon who was given the name of Solipsus was the anti-thesis of Arceus, the Creator, and perhaps of the god of the Pokémon. And just as Arceus was Creation, Solipsus was Destruction, and the Unmaker of all things created. Certainly a threat as dangerous, if not more, as the Missingno from the New Island incident. Dark times certainly seemed to be upon them. Zarke sighed slightly, knowing that he was not able to do anything about this at this point in time. The current Pokémon on him were not strong enough to go against such a foe, and he had no means to contact home where his other Pokémon were. Not that he wished to do so. As long as Evy remained missing, calling back to Blackthorn and speaking to Fio was out of the question. He had no wish to worry her, and it was best that this remained a secret for now. Just as he slowly put away the phone, it would seem that this was not the end of it. Yet another message, but this time from one that he did not wish to see. The mysterious stranger who had challenged him to a little game had taken liberties to send him on yet another wild goose chase. Or perhaps this meant not be one at all. In any case, it was just yet another game of this nameless stranger. It would seem that he was assigned to assist the Team Eclipse for some reasons unknown. Zarke scowled lightly at this, knowing that this was something that was bound to lead to no good. After all, he was more than just a little distrustful of the Pokémon teams in general, and this was not without good reason. Every single one of them seemed to have ulterior motives and agendas that planned for more than just good deeds. Sighing lightly, he knew that he would not be able to reject this and resigned himself to his fate. If he had to assist them, then he would. But not without the necessary preparations beforehand. Gathering up his belongings, he slowly headed towards the main island center. But it would seem that this journey was to be cut short even before it had even begun. A strange bright bird flew across his path, certainly determined to bar his way. In any case, he was in no mood to play around anyway. With a single movement, he brought out his best choice for this battle, and certainly one of his most trusted Pokémon. Lunastra appeared in out of its glory, its starry coat a brilliance in the diminishing lights of the sun. And if he had judged the opponent correctly, this was quite the contrast he was going for. A Dark type versus a Light type, though this Dark Pokémon packed a little surprise in there. The eyes of the Gazalaxy glowed as a pale blue orb formed in front of its mouth, its scythe growth on the side of its horn framing it and giving it a deadly look. Even as the psychic Pokémon aimed the attack at its new foe, the bird seemed to be heading straight for an attack. If Zarke had timed this attack well, this battle might just be over in a single shot, but he knew that that was too much to hope for... But even as he thought of this, Zarke knew that he had no time. The Eclipse aerial vehicle would be arriving soon and he had no time to waste. Ignoring the Silkrane, he made a run of it, just as he quickly recalled Lunastra. He had to get back to the main city of Ishmadal before everything went down. This was probably for the best... --- Battle Recap: Level 17 Gazalaxy used Ice Beam against Level 19 Silkrane.
