The Traveler's Guide to Amaya Part 1: A new Beginning! If you are traveling to Amaya from another region, you are allowed to bring one Level 5 Pokémon with you in addition to your starter. However, if this Pokémon is an evolved Pokémon, IE, a Vollav, then it must remain at Professor Acacia's lab until you obtain your first badge. Ever since the illegal substance abuse scandal at the Ishmadal Tournament, League Officials are cracking down, and young evolved Pokémon must pass a physical exam before entering the region. Plus, Professor Acacia loves to study foreign Pokémon and evolution methods, and your Pokémon will get the top treatment at her lab until you're able to retrieve it after you earn a badge! You are allowed to bring three items with you in your bag. We recommend that these aren't Pokeballs, as you will be given 5 by Professor Acacia when you leave (but if you want more, hey, go for it!). The following items are banned: Evolution Stones Hidden Machines (HMs) Choice Items Feathers (Gold & Silver) Experience Share Life Orb Expert Belt Orbs The Amaya Computer Network has been experiencing issues connecting with the international network, so until farther notice, all Pokémon and items in your PC cannot be accessed. The central hub for the ACN is located in Imperia City, so once you get there you can look for an opportunity to help fix this and access your other Pokémon and items. (After you gain access to your international PC again, the limits will work like other Fresh Start regions, where you may only withdraw Pokémon at levels equal to or lower than your highest-level Pokémon). In addition, players MAY NOT trade for items or Pokémon with people outside of Amaya. The National Dex still does not include the Amaya Dex, so players with the National Dex still may not trade for Amaya Pokémon unless they are in the region itself, or the Amaya Pokémon was obtained outside the region (IE Resort or Promo), nor may you claim an Amaya Pokémon for your birthday promo unless you are in the region. ***Amaya is, on the whole, treated as though you are completely starting anew. Thus, you will have no shop access until you reach the equivalent location in Amaya (IE, the fourth badge for an Advanced Team Shop, 2nd badge to buy Type Hold Items, etc). In addition, Class abilities, such as Breeders' access to shops and Ranger's wild-count decreasing abilities cannot be used until you earn them again in the region. Part 2: Who are the Auris? The Auri Society is the main 'Team' in Amaya. However, it is not like the other teams of the Pokémon world you might be familiar with. Their main interest involves what they call "Aura," a sort of energy exuded by all living things. Pokémon like Lucario can naturally sense and manipulate Aura, but few people can. However, the Auri Society is devoted to seeking out trainers whom they believe may have Aura abilities that could be unlocked, and ones that will help expand the Society. Unlike the other teams, you cannot simply sign up for the Auri Society. Instead, their members will seek you out. Want to stand out to those Auri Seekers? They just want to see Pokémon trainers who are involved with their Pokémon and show creativity. What does this mean? It's pretty simple, actually. You just need to focus a bit on your role-playing! No, you don't need to write books or posts like Zarke or Chaos Shadow, but you do have to put in a little effort. For example:
Stuff like won't catch the Society's attention. But something like this might:
See? It"s just a few sentences, but it makes a big difference. And of course, even more detail/storytelling will help you even more! You'll know you're challenging an Auri Seeker when a trainer with a dark blue cuff with gold engravings or a dark blue cloak challenges you. They will have three Pokémon, one of which will usually be a Riolu or Lucario. Good luck finding the Auri Seekers! |
